Shortleaf had a wonderful weekend. We started it off in Columbia on Friday night. Our group Snorty Horse (Dave Para, Cathy Barton, Mike Fraser and Tenley Hansen) was joined by the fantastic young fiddler Roger Netherton. Caller Jim Thaxter was wonderful and sound engineer Sam Griffin was his usual terrific self! The dancers' energy was amazing!
On Saturday night, we had a near sell out performance at Bentley's Guitar Studio in Parkville. Our biggest hugs to all of you who came out to hear our newest music from "Standing On The Rock". We asked our good friend Keith VanWinkle to join us on stage for a tune. He was great and it was such an honor to play with him again. We had such a great time that night, it was hard to go to sleep. Bentley's hosted the event and provided great sound and goodies to eat and drink. Special thanks to Theresa and Mark Bentley for such a great venue!
